  ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (PRECONDITIONS)
  Are you a fit for the Global TESOL Certificate?
  Minimum age: 18+ on entry to the course; no upper age limit
  Minimum education requirement: have a standard of education equivalent to that required for entry into higher education
  Competence in spoken and written English appropriate to a teacher of English (whether English is your first, second or foreign language). You need to be able to teach English to speakers of other languages at a range of levels
  Goal: You want to build your skill-set and know-how, and increase your credibility and excel further in your career
  Personality: Like working in teams and building relationships
  NOTE: Applicants are assessed for suitability for the program on the basis of: their application form, a personal essay where they are expected to write on their own learning experiences and their perceptions of foreign language teaching, and two references to support their application.

Intercontinental work experience (Australasia, Europe, Middle East, North America) as a teacher, teacher trainer, trainers' trainer, director of studies (DoS), coach, human resource development (HRD) consultant, lecturer, educator, writer, reviewer. To create a dynamic environment, make an immediate impact and enhance learning, Dr. Tkaczyk uses a lot of discussions, simulations, action learning ('learn by doing'), powerful scenarios and case studies. His facilitation style is interactive and participant-centered. His current research focuses on Learning & Development (L&D) and the case study method of learning.   Jack Dunster (University of Saskatchewan alumnus, EFL)– TESOL research fellow. Teacher, teacher trainer, course moderator, lecturer, writer, editor, proof-reader, author of a resource book on developing writing skills. Originally from Canada, but, being married to a wonderful Polish girl, he has been for the last 13 years living in Poland where he teaches and trains future teachers at a teacher's college (TESOL, effective methodologies and learning strategies, academic writing, speaking strategies, North American culture). He has also worked in Canada, Cyprus, Egypt and Germany. In regard to the methodology of learning, he recognizes the need to understand the notions of multi-intelligence and their application with his students. He finds they are a mixed lot, and through the varied exercises he undertakes with his students, he sees much of Howard Gardner's work is best on keen observation and does have merit. In visiting his former students at their places of work, and speaking about this idea, it is wonderful to see some young learners realize that just because they are having problems in taking in the proffered information, they are not actually dummies, but do have the need to adopt learning strategies that would transfer the knowedge in ways they can absorb and recall when needed. You might notice in the last, by the way, he's quite kept up on understanding, and passing on ways of learning. He mentors, lives and breathes teaching and teacher training. His current classroom-based research deals with the learning strategies for ELT (Cognitive Academic Language Learning Approach, independent & lifelong learning). He'll conclude by saying, that teaching is a noble practice - who else has a greater influence on an upcoming generation?
